Safe, Legal & Fully Insured
You're in Safe Hands
Professional drone operation means more than just flying well. Here’s everything you need to know about how we operate legally and safely.
A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC) — CAA certified
CAA Registered Operator
£5,000,000 Public Liability & Bodily Harm Insurance — EC 785/2004 compliant
Hundreds of flights completed. Zero insurance claims.
Insurance & Liability
Every project we undertake is covered by £5 million public liability and bodily harm insurance, fully compliant with EC 785/2004 — the CAA’s requirement for commercial drone operators. Insurance certificates are available on request before any project begins.
Qualifications & Certification
As an A2 CofC certified operator, we’re authorised to fly UK2-class (and equivalent) drones close to uninvolved people — a significantly higher operational permission than a basic Flyer ID. In practice, this means 30 metres from uninvolved people in normal mode, down to 5 metres in low-speed mode where conditions allow. Our custom-built FPV drones are operated under the appropriate CAA category for each deployment, in full compliance with the 2026 UK drone regulations.
How We Prepare for Every Project
No flight happens without preparation. Before arriving on site we:
- Conduct a full risk assessment tailored to your location
- Check airspace restrictions, NOTAMs, and weather forecasts
- Plan and review flight routes with you in advance
- Survey the site where required
- Prepare backup equipment and contingency plans
Equipment Safety
Indoor and people-near FPV work uses drones fitted with propeller guards, operated at low speed in confined spaces. Class-marked camera drones include multiple redundancy systems and are maintained and checked before every shoot. Equipment is chosen and configured specifically for each filming environment.
Permissions & Restricted Areas
We handle all CAA notifications and flight permissions as standard. If your location requires additional authorisation — near aerodromes, congested areas, or other restricted zones — we confirm what’s needed before your booking is finalised, not on the day.
All footage is handled in compliance with GDPR and UK data protection law. Faces and licence plates can be blurred in post-production if required.
Could your drone damage my property?
All drones are configured for the specific environment. FPV drones near property use propeller guards and operate at low speed. We’ve completed hundreds of flights without an incident or claim. In the unlikely event something goes wrong, £5 million of coverage is in place.
What happens if weather isn't suitable on the day?
We monitor conditions closely and won’t fly in unsafe weather. If we need to reschedule for weather reasons, there’s no additional charge.
Do you need special permission to fly at my location?
Most commercial locations can be operated at under standard Open Category permissions. We handle all necessary CAA notifications. For restricted areas, we’ll confirm requirements before your booking is finalised.
How close can you fly to people?
With A2 CofC certification, we can fly certain drones with no separation from people. For custom FPV drones, we work with you to manage the flight path appropriately.
What about privacy and GDPR?
Footage is used only for the purposes agreed at the time of booking. We comply fully with UK data protection law and can blur identifiable individuals or vehicles in post if needed.
Can I see your insurance documents before booking?
Yes. Insurance certificates and operator credentials are available on request at any point.
